MARCH 1, 2003 - Indieville: The NY Voice of Independent Film, a half-hour show, will host Tiffany Shlain, a Sundance juried filmmaker. The special half hour show hosted by Shane Snipes will air her 12 minute film, "Life, Liberty, and the ursuit of Happiness" in March 2003.

The show airs in Manhattan on March 7th, Friday Midnight, cable channels 34/107; March 15th, 11:30 PM, channels 67/110; March 21st, 11:00 PM, channels 67/110. In Brooklyn it will air on March 18th at 12:30 AM on channels 35/68.

Executive producer of Indieville, Shane Snipes, says, "This film explores what it means to educate through clever images merged with a hot pop 50's edge." Playfully updating the 1950's school documentary, "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" offers up political and social satire regarding the current state of reproductive rights in a fast-paced spoonful.

Director and co-writer Tiffany Shlain is an award winning filmmaker and founder and creative director of The Webby Awards. Honored as one of Newsweek's “Women Shaping the 21st Century,” she has directed many unique productions in both film and theater. Tiffany received her BA in film theory from UC Berkeley in 1992 where she received the Eisner Award, the highest award in art for her filmmaking and was selected as Valedictorian speaker. "Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness" is her tenth film. Tiffany has been invited to lecture and screen her work at institutions worldwide, including The Sundance Film Festival, American Film Institute Film Festival, Rotterdam Film Festival, The Sydney Opera House, MIT, The Headland Center for the Arts, Stanford, and Doors of Perception conference in Amsterdam. She just received a grant to write her next film, "The Tribe."
