Screeners Club and Indieville TV Form Partnership
October 1, 2003- The Screeners Club NYC and Indieville
confirmed that they are in a partnership agreement.
These two groups working together is an exceptional
opportunity for independent film. Indieville will be
helping to curate part of each night's screenings and
help in marketing the event.
The event happens each first and third Thursday, and
will showcase new film talents in a casual, open environment.
Remote Lounge downstairs at 327 Bowery will host the
event from 8 PM until 10 PM.
"Film watchers and filmmakers can now see new
works, test audience response and network with others
in the industry. What a great chance to open doors for
indie folks in New York City", stated Shane Snipes,
Executive Producer of Indieville.
Indieville promotes independent film through the medium
of television. Independent film is meant to challenge
the ideas people have of others and their environment.
Indieville challenges the film world to laugh at itself
and enjoy the true freedom that new ideas can demonstrate
on camera.
The Screeners Club is a twice-monthly independent movie
series that exists to offer moviemakers an immediate
venue at which to screen their work in a casual, lounge
environment. It's FREE to submit and there's no admission
fee. There are no restrictions or criteria for submitting
work and participants can feel comfortable showing a
wide range of work from documentaries and narrative
shorts, to music videos and experimental pieces.
